The Check Engine Light
The Certified Auto Repair team wants to improve your safety when you travel. Our series “Listen to your car” will help you understand the messages your vehicle sends you.
The check engine light can be related to a wide variety of malfunctions detected by your vehicle’s on-board computer. This indicator is not to be taken lightly as it can both mean a minor problem, such as a loose fuel cap, and a major problem, like an engine disorder. If the check engine light comes on while you are driving, the best thing to do is to consult a mechanic as soon as possible. However, if the light starts flashing while you are driving, pull over safely as soon as possible and turn off the engine.
The Certified Auto Repair team is available all across Eastern Canada to help you drive safely and sustainably.
