Tire Pressure Alert Light

The Certified Auto Repair team wants to improve your safety when you travel. Our series “Listen to your car” will help you understand the messages your vehicle sends you.

The tire pressure alert light, usually represented by an exclamation mark in a circular symbol, lights up when a significant tire pressure drop is detected by the vehicle’s on-board computer. While you should seriously consider checking the air pressure in your tires as soon as this light comes on, this indicator does not necessarily equate a major problem. However, if the light starts flashing, you must pull over safely and contact a mechanic immediately. The flashing light indicates that the low air pressure in your tires could damage them and put your life in danger while you are driving.

The Certified Auto Repair team is available all across Eastern Canada to help you drive safely and sustainably.
